In the second part of Book III there are four heresies:
The Parermeneutae misinterpret certain passages of the Sacred Scriptures, both of the Old and of the New Testaments, and manipulate them to serve their own purpose. They are stubbornly opposed to most of the interpretations which are exact and above reproach. They suffer from a certain lack of education and judgment, whence it is that they do not know how to defend themselves and some of their heretical teachings.
Παρερμηνευταί, οἵ τινα κεφάλαια τῶν θείων γραφῶν τῆς τε παλαιᾶς καὶ νέας διαθήκης παρερμηνεύοντες καὶ πρὸς τὸν οἰκεῖον σκοπὸν ταῦτα μεθοδεύοντες: ἐμφιλονείκως δὲ παρὰ τὰς πολλὰς τῶν ἀκριβῶν καὶ ἀνεπιλήπτων ἑρμηνειῶν διακείμενοι, ἐξ ἰδιωτείας τινὸς καὶ ἀδιακρισίας τοῦτο πάσχοντες, βεβαιοῦν δὲ ἐντεῦθεν αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔνια τῶν αἱρετικῶν δογμάτων μὴ ἐπιστάμενοι.
