In the second part of Book III there are four heresies:
The Barsanouphites, who are also called Semidalites, agree with the Gaianites and the Theodosians, but they have something in addition. Thus, they add fine flour to the elements which Dioscorus is supposed to have consecrated, and, touching this with the tip of their finger, they taste the flour and receive it instead of the Mysteries, without making any oblation at all. Having thus eked out the elements consecrated by Dioscorus, as has been related, they keep adding the fine flour as these become gradually consumed, and for them this is considered to take the place of consecrated elements.

Ἐάσαντες γὰρ τάς, ὡς εἴρηται, Διοσκόρου κοινωνίας προστιθέασι τὴν σεμίδαλιν, καθότε δαπανηθείη παρὰ βραχύ, καὶ τοῦτ' αὐτοῖς ἀντὶ κοινωνίας λελόγισται.
