The Pneumatochi, while they speak very well concerning Christ, blaspheme the Holy Ghost by making Him a creature and not of the Godhead. Rather, by a misuse of words, they say that He was produced through an operation and is nothing more than a sanctifying force.
Πνευματομάχοι. Οὗτοι μὲν περὶ Χριστοῦ καλῶς λέγουσι παρά τι, τὸ πνεῦμα δὲ τὸ ἅγιον βλασφημοῦσι, κτιστὸν αὐτὸ ὁριζόμενοι καὶ οὐκ ὂν ἐκ τῆς θεότητος, μᾶλλον δὲ καταχρηστικῶς δι' ἐνέργειαν αὐτὸ κεκτίσθαι, ἁγιαστικὴν δύναμιν αὐτὸ φάσκοντες εἶναι μόνον.
