In the second part of Book III there are four heresies:
The Noetians. This Noetus was from Smyrna in Asia. Together with some others he was carried away by vanity and said that Christ was a son-father. He maintained that the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost were the same. He furthermore said that he himself, was Moses and that his brother was Aaron.
Νοητιανοί. Νόητος οὗτος ἀπὸ Σμύρνης ὑπῆρχεν τῆς Ἀσίας. Ἐφ' ἅρματι δὲ ἐνεχθεὶς σὺν ἄλλοις φησὶν υἱοπάτορα τὸν Χριστόν: ἐδίδαξε τὸν αὐτὸν εἶναι πατέρα καὶ υἱὸν καὶ ἅγιον πνεῦμα. Ἑαυτὸν δὲ ἔλεγεν εἶναι Μωσέα καὶ τὸν ἑαυτοῦ ἀδελφὸν Ἀαρών.
